Adjust Your Color Mode
Select the program you’re using for specific instructions on adjusting color mode of your images for printing.
In Adobe Photoshop:
In an Existing file:
- In the menu, choose Select Image > Mode > CMYK
- New file:
- Select CMYK for the mode before clicking OK

Select Model to be CMYK & Type to be Process

Select the Outline tool and click the Outline Color Dialog
Make sure the color model is CMYK

I already have an image saved. . . how can I tell if I’m in the right mode?
In Adobe Photoshop, the color mode is indicated next to the file name on the top bar here. This image is currently in RGB mode.
To change it to CMYK, I go to Image > Mode > and choose CMYK Color

And now the image is in CMYK mode as you can see on the top bar
